2022This collection offers multiple opportunities for mixing and matching our solid fabrics from our exclusive colour chart.
4 new artistic prints present themselves as paintings coming to life through your timeless sewing projects.
Hilma, the hypnotic print is a homage to the "prophetess" of abstract art, Hilma af Klint. 7 exclusive colours blend harmoniously on our soft viscose twill fabric in "Rust", "River" and "Off-White”.
Lucie is a perfect balance between intensity and lightness with an assertive character for one of our most dense prints. Taking up the technique of pointillism, this print, is subtly revealed on our viscose crepe fabrics in "River", "Cedar" and "Ochre".
Véra has a delicate and an enigmatic charm, an aesthetic that became evident when we imagined it as an instinctive collage on our printed crepe Kelsey viscose fabric. In reference to the avant-garde works of the famous cubist painter Véra Pestel, this unique pattern with geometric shapes is an invitation to sew a wardrobe in our dazzling "Night" or our romantic "Blush".
Séraphine, flamboyant in nature, came to life transcribing the numerous paintings of Séraphine Louis, also known as De Senlis. This personal and joyful design is highlighted on our silky emblematic viscose fabrics.
Our Dobby and viscose crepe fabrics blend perfectly with the new Rust and River colours, a duo of retro-chic and mineral hues.
Our haberdashery collection is also available in all the shades of our colour chart and in perfect harmony with our prints and our solids.
All of our collections are certified Lenzing™️ EcoVero™️ and Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
This collection is created and inspired by the artwork of these very special women, by their avant-garde careers and their assertive personalities. We would like to pay tribute to these passionate artists who touch us with their sensitivity, originality and cheeky creativity! Their paintings are simply beautiful. They inspired our colours and motifs.
Annabelle's Moodboard:
Hilma af Klint, Séraphine De Senlis, aka Louis, Lucie Cousturier, and Véra Pestel in images.
Annabelle chose to realise a dream, by entrusting talented photographer Laurence Revol with the mission of capturing the complete essence of the collection.
We sought out the ideal location to portray the collection and inspire you to make outfits that look like you. At the Montmartre Museum, in the French painter Suzanne Valadon’s atelier, alongside the gardens of Renoir, we installed our fabric rolls and brought together the entire Atelier Brunette team to create images for this collection.
To celebrate the arrival of our new prints, we asked our favorite designers to create unique pieces for a total immersion into the Réminiscence universe.
These exclusive limited edition collaborations can be found in our Paris boutique. They are perfect for spoiling your loved ones this holiday season. We published a dedicated article about these special encounters! Read more here.
Here are a few books to devour on the subject that has inspired us so much over the past months: L'art au féminin, a recommended book that can be found in your local bookshop!
Great Women Artists from Phaidon / Les artistes femmes sont dangereuses by Camille Viéville and Laure Adler / Revue Dada, n°250 : Femmes artistes, an excellent magazine to learn more about art with your family.
